I want to thank you for having the courage to
show an image of the virgin as a strong and powerful woman. I am not a Roman
Catholic but when I had breast cancer and visited Chartres cathedral in France,
the stained glass image of the "Blue Virgin"gave me strength. I
heard the story that because this window was saved when the previous cathedral
was burned, it was the inspiration for building the magnificent cathedral
that stands today. I thought "If this woman could have a cathedral built,
I can lick cancer." That was 19 years ago.
I will be at the meeting tomorrow to support
you and the museum.
