Alma first at all CONGRATULATIONS!!!  I can't understand why so much noise of some people about the way you express your feelings and how you get the inner feeling of the actual woman, how you said with her face riced up.  Some people like Mr Villegas they have to learn the way to see ART, beside the strong and beautiful lady (indigeno chicano-latino-mexicana) you handle another mexican elements like Coyoautli who represents just to our mother. The mother of mexicanos before the gachupines came to our land and destroy our own traditions. And I can see that you are not using the image of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe (el sr villegas does not know how to pronounce her name even he said Nuestra de Guadalupe).

So you keep on expressing your feeling and the way you see the new (indigeno-chicano-latino-mexicana) woman.

I don't have a very fluently english language answer to me if you speak spanish and I can be more clear about what I want to express to you.

I think you are not damaging anybody their mind is the one damage.

GO AHEAD!

hola Alma,

It is a very good art piece , i like your composition and post modern/ traditional colors. Religiion is a very touchy issue, too political it has always been, almost full of crooks and gienny pigs. thats why crooks remain in power. religion is good but not the fulfillment of ones life, the basic fact that if we learn just to love and accept others it will be blyss in its own way. Religion does not make us, obligation of exploitation and fabricated manipulation decieve us, and many are led the ignorant way. legends are writen and twiested, that people with short sight cannot see the DIFFERENCE . this is a quote that i believe always" VISIBLE POWER IS OF NO VALUE, FOR PERCEPTION IS THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS THE UNTANGIBLE POWER OF THE SPIRIT"  in one perspective this is how i interprete  your painting, a person whos is confident but angry inside, almost has the painters past has been somehow left behind for her sex, proving a point in 2D has she sees the virgin and herself . butterfly wings...busty angel...maybe short intense sensations of lusty sexual arousement. Proud Aztlan beauty, at the same time hollow. The courtains behind, originally her robe, maybe the devil in disguise, her robe behind as the background shows her as a decietful demon without her robe, probably the great whore that we have read about in the bible.Or could it be the pagant godess of the Aztecs? before she was deface by the Spaniards. The beautiful roses covering her croch and breast seem so crisp and fresh and sure if you take a deep breath you can almost smell them, drawing you closer to these beautiful plants, drawing you closer to lust. her pose is strong, with intimidating eyes, the look of despair and vengeance.A goddes whom does not have equal rights, and wants to take on the people whom she blames..hahahha.A feminist act???..if so have you thought of how lucky you are???, your not in China where baby females are butcher, or the middle east where you are only allow to take orders and not think, or how about Africa where females are circumcise.anyways there is more but i will stop.  another interpretation is a nice painting that has become a great marketing tool for you, exceptional!!! great idea you are more well known know and respected than before, fame and popularity rates are up and so is the money$$$$$$$$:) ps: i like your artwork would like to see more of your masterpieces.......till then stay in touch..... the Crimson Ghost.....

Questions to ponder:

Who was the mother of Mother Earth?

Who was the father of Mother Earth?

Anyone have an answer?
