I'm really interested to know why you use the image of the 'Virgen Guadalupe' in your art. This is the first time that I have been expose to these images, therefore I would like to know more. Also, if you can please send me any information about this topic, I would apprciate it greatly. At the moment I must write a paper for one of my classes and the topic that I've chosen is about your art work and the meaning behind it. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.

I like your virgin and cannot understand the harsh reaction to it.  In todays art tolerance is important, even if the proposal is not understood.  I am not an advocate of "anything goes",  but this is really far from being offensive or unrespectful.

Congratulations and luck to you,
Ruta Correa

Finding your images on the net has been a great resource. My thesis (Master of Visual Art Theory) is on Miraculous Image: from apparition to website, with a chapter on the Virgin of Guadalupe in all her historical and contemporary mutations. (I also lecture within a history topic on the Virgin of Guadalupe.) I would like to reproduce images in my thesis of your work as representing a contemporary Chicana approach (also Yolande Lopez). Is there any reference books which include your work or is the web the best source. I would appreciate any further information from you or redirection.

thanks, Jacinta
