My name is Adan Duarte and I am a full-time student at Loyola Marymount University.  I am a sophomore majoring in Political Science and Chicana/o Studies.  I am a native "Angelino," that is being born in the City of Los Angeles. This website was made possible by two of the Adobe programs, Photoshop and Dream weaver. This project was an ongoing project that was assigned to my classmates and me by our Professor and Artist Alma Lopez. I have diligently been working on the website throughout the semester, and this is the final outcome.

            I chose Rigoberta Menchu Tum because I have read several articles and books about her.  She has inspired me to become a better person in the sense of my community involvement.  I have always shown great concern for my community and others that need greater attention.  I am a student who values integrity, honesty, service for others and the education of the whole person. I have participated in many protests, demonstrations, panels and sit-ins to help expand increase awareness of social justice issues. I hope this website acquaints people with a great indigenous activist, Rigoberta Menchu Tum.
